Location
In our trailer we will use several different locations such as the flat above reception in school which will show where the our main protagonist lives. This provides a place which would normally be perceived as safe and comfortable. However, this is where much of the action is going to take place.
Another location is under the stage which acts as a basement as we require a basement during our "tea party" scene. This works well as it's dark and disturbing location for the final scene. This provides a sense of isolation and gives a disturbing atmosphere.
LOCATIONS USED IN THE TRAILER:
Stairs of flat
Park with allotments
Park with trees
Hallway of flat
Therapy Room
Town
Alleyway
House of victim
An additional location would be the stairs. In our Trailer we will use several different locations such as the church on chosen hill where there is a darkish graveyard. This provides an eerie and disturbing setting for a satanic ritual. The church provides religious overtones which fits in well with the theme of satanism. The hill provides a higher setting which isolates the main characters from the rest of the world.
We will also require another location such as the woods which is right next to this church. This presents a scary and more horror themed.
To make the trailer more relatable to our target audience, we wanted a school setting for the plot to start from. It also creates a strong contrast to generic horror locations such as the woods.

cAST
Our trailer requires few people but these people have major roles. Our main protagonist or victim is Amber who will play a disturbed teen that has been "infected" with the satanic symbol.
Although the creature will be seen in the trailer, the antagonist will also feature and there will be some dialogue from them (however they will not be seen speaking.) As the antagonist, she is the mastermind behind the transformations and the friend's demonic possession. We wanted our antagonist to contradict stereotypes by having a female play the role of the killer, even if she isn't the only one doing the killing.
By using the monster, it draws the audience's attention away from the cause of the problem and gives the trailer an element of mystery. It also gives the plot more depth for a full length feature film.
- Main character/ protagonist- Amber
- Friend who transforms and becomes our monster- Will/ Alex

AUDIENCE
Our target audience starts from the age of 16 as this doesn't restrict under 18's from watching our film. Using a location with a school background and therefore actors who would fit this location also makes it more relatable for this target audience.
Generally, the usual age for the target audience of a horror film is 15-25, mainly because young adults and teens enjoy thrills more than an older audience. Many young audiences are not put off by graphic content and are more likely to be drawn towards it. Such graphic images of violence and gore does not appeal to most older audience members.

PROPS
In our trailer we will use many props that will be used for communication and to advance the plot.
- The mobile phone- used between Amber's character and their friend. It spears the development of the plot from equilibrium into conflict, thereby followed by the build up shots as described in the plot.
- The satanic symbol and weapon- we want props ideally linked with the pentagram symbol and satanic rituals so the theme of the trailer is understood by our audience. Linked with the idea of sacrifice, the use of a knife may be present in the trailer also.
- School props- in this location we want props to give an authentic look including tables, chairs, whiteboard and other furniture featured in a normal classroom. We also want props our actor uses such as their phones and school bag.
- Makeup- to create our monster we will need costume makeup.
tHE PLOT
Outline of the plot- Satanic/demonic possession
- The satanist is the main antagonist who causes these scars and gradual transformation. Conflict ensues after the main character and her friend mock the satanist. The friend could snatch away a pendent or book from the satanist, giving reason behind them transforming first and faster compared to Amber's character. - Anyone with the mark will eventually be possessed by a demon and undergo a hideous transformation. The mark is a gateway to summon the demon into a victim's body. - The friend transforms first and hunts down the protagonist/second victim. In the build up you see her attempts at running away. There will also be suggestions of demon possession, satanic rituals and exorcisms as she researches how to stop the transformation happening to her. We will use the pentagram as a prominent symbol. - This will lead up to the church in the woods scene, although in the trailer you may only see a glimpse of the woods and the bloodied hand of the satanist. The power of suggestion will play a key part at creating suspense as there will be references of satanic rituals going on within the trailer. -The creature will not be showed fully in the trailer. Glimpses of fangs, veins, scars, claws and sunken black eyes could be used to convey the monster's appearance without giving too much away. The use of sound will also be important.
